3 arrested for fatal shooting outside of Clarksville home - WKRN

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - The Clarksville Police Department has arrested three suspects after a deadly shooting Friday afternoon.

Joshua Aretz, 20, Clinton Hunter III, 18, and an unidentified 17-year-old have been charged with criminal homicide.


Authorities were called to a home on Needmore and Trenton roads near the YMCA shortly before 4 p.m.


The victim, 19-year-old Adam Marquez, was believed to have been shot during an altercation that escalated into gunfire.


The investigation is ongoing and Clarksville police ask that anyone with information contact them at 931-648-0656 ext. 5447.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Today at around 4:00pm, the Clarksville Police Department responded to a shooting in the area of Needmore Road and Trenton Road.


At this time, CPD has confirmed that one individual has passed from a gunshot wound. The incident occurred in the yard of a residence across the street from the YMCA on Needmore Road.



At this time, Clarksville Police have no further information to release and an active investigation is ongoing.

However CPD wants to make it clear that they believe that the public is not in any danger.


CPD is aware that some news agencies are in the area, but we will not be making anymore comments or doing on scene interviews. Please stay outside of the crime scene while taking your video footage or photos. The Officers on scene will not be making statements.


There will be updates released as soon as they are available and will not interfere with our investigations.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Clarksville woman who claimed she was raped at Dunbar Cave park earlier this month has been charged with false report.


Kayla Bowen had told police that at 2:23 a.m. on Aug. 5, she went to the park to think, and, after sitting in her car for a couple hours, a man approached her, asked for a light, then beat and raped her.


A Clarksville Police investigation has since uncovered a Craiglist ad Bowen posted titled "Have a deep dark fantasy." In the ad, Bowen said she wanted to be raped and for anyone who responds to say how they would do it and why, according to her arrest warrant.

TBI arrests Mother and Daughter for False Report of Rape - Clarksville Online




Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Lewis County mother and daughter accused of filing a false report of rape.


At the request of 21st District Attorney General Kim Helper, TBI Special Agents began investigating Regina Hobbs and Kylie Barber on July 31st.


During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that on June 14th, during a domestic argument, Regina Hobbs pointed a firearm at her husband at their residence on Thomas Avenue in Hohenwald.

The husband called 911 to report the incident.

When officers from Hohenwald Police responded, Hobbs reported her husband, a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper, had raped and assaulted her. Barber, Hobbs’ daughter, later told Hohenwald police she walked in on the alleged rape.


The reports resulted in officers arresting Hobbs’ husband. The TBI investigation later revealed the allegations of rape and assault were false.


On Friday, TBI Agents arrested Hobbs and Barber, charging the 40-year-old mother with one count of Aggravated Assault and one count of False Report. Her 20-year-old daughter faces one count of False Report. Hobbs was booked into the Lewis County Jail on $5,000 bond. Barber’s bond was set at $2,500.
