Credo Amouzouvik speaks at the 106th Annual Lone Oak Picnic - Clarksville Online




Election 2014Cunningham, TN – U.S. House of Representatives District 7 candidate Credo Amouzouvik spoke at the 106th Annual Lone Oak Picnic held by the Central Civitan Club on Saturday, July 27th, 2014.


I am a war wounded veteran from Fort Campbell running for Congress in the 7th District of Tennessee. A fresh start and a new direction is what I am bringing to the table,” said Amouzouvik.

He went on to say, “A fresh start and a new direction where our teachers are not beat up on by state legislation. A fresh start and a new direction where education is a tool for our children, not a commodity of special interest groups.”

“A fresh start and a new direction where our veterans benefits are protected, where our national security is a priority and we do not cut the budget of our military,” said Amouzouvik.


About the Lone Oak Picnic


The Civitan ClubThe Central Civitan Club has sponsored the Lone Oak Picnic since 1975. Lone Oak is a tradition for candidates in Montgomery County. All the money raised is used in the communities south of the Cumberland River through several projects sponsored by the Central Civitan Club. The Central Civitan Club, for example, supports the local Boy and Girl Scout troops. The club provides financial assistance to victims of house fires in the community.


They also fund scholarships for and support many educational and extra-curricular activities of the students, teachers and staff at Montgomery Central High School, Montgomery Central Middle School and Montgomery Central Elementary School as well as Cumberland Heights Elementary School.
